CJC-5000M Alcohol Screening Test Device

This course is the instruction supplied by the North Carolina DHHS/FTA Branch on the proper use and maintenance of alcohol screening test devices, also known as a preliminary or handheld breath test. The current approved curriculum involves a minimum of seven hours of training. Prior to beginning the training program, participants should have an interest in traffic law enforcement with an emphasis in the investigation, apprehension, adjudication, detention, and supervision of DWI offenders. This course instructs the student in how to be compliant with 10A NCAC 41B Section .0500 and NCGS 20-16.3; and specifically meets the requirements in Section .0502 (b) (4).
